2023 - 2024主教练:杰森·基奥Varsity Boys’ Soccer has been known for its controlled style of play and perennial competitiveness, frequently earning ranking among the top 20 teams in New England. The Varsity team competes annually for the Founders League title, playing a 18-game schedule against Founders League opponents and other local independent prep schools. The team also competes in a major collegiate showcase tournament early in the season. The team has enjoyed trips overseas to England and Scotland for preseason and most recently Spain in the summer of 2022.
The Martlets play home games on one of the many fine fields that comprise Westminster’s 35 acres of playing fields, 还有霍维菲尔德, a synthetic turf field with lights — one of the most beautiful facilities in New England.Coach Jay Keough took over as head coach of Varsity Boys’ Soccer in 2014, after coaching Junior Varsity Boys’ Soccer for three years. Coach Keough has had a long career in NEPSAC soccer. 在他担任希布伦学院主教练的七年里, he won the MAISAD Conference twice and had numerous New England playoff appearances including a Championship game. He was named Connecticut Assistant Coach of the year in 2014. Coach Griffith has more than two decades of experience coaching soccer in the NEPSAC league. He also coaches ice hockey and lives on campus with his wife and has three children.Westminster’s Soccer program has a strong track record of nurturing players who go on to participate at both the Division I and the Division III levels at schools such as Bowdoin, Colby, Colgate, Holy Cross, Maryland, Middlebury, Trinity, Denison and Yale.
